O'Neill

Not in the squad again today.

No substantive updates on him for months.

Effectively not kicked a ball for 4-5 months at this point.

Where is he?

Bizarre.

Richie has given an update over the last few weeks. Back in training as of this week I believe but obvs had no pre season so imagine we won’t see him until late September

Can’t quite understand why it’s ‘bizarre’ that OON has been injured.
I don’t expect daily updates
I trust the team to bring him back into the squad when he is ready
That’s it.

If a player is out for 4-5 months, that's a serious injury, so we're generally told what's the issue is - does anyone know what's actually happened to him?

We got pretty regular updates on Aaron, El Miz and even REG last/this season - barely a mention of Ollie.

The last time he was in a matchday squad was 2 April. He hasn't started a game for us since mid-March.

Do you know if he got fit or aggrevated
the injury in pre season ?

Unless you have all the facts, you are just making assumptions.

He wasn't in the squad for any pre-season games, so he's clearly injured.

My point is why has the club not said what's actually wrong with him? It's been months.

The club aren't giving us any facts.

Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens listed Ollie O'Neill as a doubt with an injury ahead of their fixture against Wigan Athletic.

Injury Context

Status: Rated as a doubt by Wellens prior to matchday.

Squad Impact: O'Neill's potential absence added to a mounting availability list for the O's, with Wellens frequently noting how severe injury strains influence team selection and squad depth

Wouldn’t surprise me if Connolly wasn’t back before OON. He has just become a ghost player. I don’t even know what his injury is!

Talkimg about mid March, wasn't that the last time Orient won a home game.

In the league, yes. No wonder they're struggling with attendances lately.

Two weeks later and still no sign of him.

As of Monday, he hasn't played 90 minutes for us for six months - that's longer than both Connolly and El Miz were out for us last season.

These things happen. Look at kulusevski of spurs who was supposed to be out for a few weeks, missed the whole season and is still not back

Agreed.

BTW in one of the Insta posts this week Connolly was in full training attire heading out onto the pitchs with the rest of the squad.

He's due back in 2 weeks mate. Why the negativity?
