Re: O'Neill
Richie has given an update over the last few weeks. Back in training as of this week I believe but obvs had no pre season so imagine we won’t see him until late September

Can’t quite understand why it’s ‘bizarre’ that OON has been injured.
I don’t expect daily updates
I trust the team to bring him back into the squad when he is ready
That’s it.

If a player is out for 4-5 months, that's a serious injury, so we're generally told what's the issue is - does anyone know what's actually happened to him?PKM wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:14 pm Can’t quite understand why it’s ‘bizarre’ that OON has been injured.

We got pretty regular updates on Aaron, El Miz and even REG last/this season - barely a mention of Ollie.

The last time he was in a matchday squad was 2 April. He hasn't started a game for us since mid-March.Bandy Legs wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:25 pmHe's not been out for 4-5 months though.E10quence wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:18 pmIf a player is out for 4-5 months, that's a serious injury, so we're generally told what's the issue is - does anyone know what's actually happened to him?PKM wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:14 pm Can’t quite understand why it’s ‘bizarre’ that OON has been injured.

the injury in pre season ?
Unless you have all the facts, you are just making assumptions.
Nothing wrong with that but its just an assumption

Re: O'Neill
He wasn't in the squad for any pre-season games, so he's clearly injured.Bandy Legs wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:35 pmDo you know if he got fit or aggrevatedE10quence wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:30 pmThe last time he was in a matchday squad was 2 April. My point is why has the club not said what's actually wrong with him? It's been months.
The club aren't giving us any facts.

Re: O'Neill
Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens listed Ollie O'Neill as a doubt with an injury ahead of their fixture against Wigan Athletic.E10quence wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:54 pmHe wasn't in the squad for any pre-season games, so he's clearly injured.Bandy Legs wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:35 pmDo you know if he got fit or aggrevatedE10quence wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2026 2:30 pm

Injury Context
Status: Rated as a doubt by Wellens prior to matchday.
Squad Impact: O'Neill's potential absence added to a mounting availability list for the O's, with Wellens frequently noting how severe injury strains influence team selection and squad depth

Wouldn’t surprise me if Connolly wasn’t back before OON. He has just become a ghost player. I don’t even know what his injury is!

In the league, yes. Giving Forrester a run for title of club sicknote.
As of Monday, he hasn't played 90 minutes for us for six months - that's longer than both Connolly and El Miz were out for us last season.

BTW in one of the Insta posts this week Connolly was in full training attire heading out onto the pitchs with the rest of the squad.
