Re: Ballard OFFicially gone
Really sad day. Probably the best all round striker I’ve seen in an Orient shirt and sucks we only got to see him for a season, and a sh*t one at that.
But we’ve done well to have a player for a year and get such a big fee. It’s how it’s reinvested that will determine if we’ve done the right thing.
Good luck to Dom. Think he can make it to the prem and he’s gone about this move in the right way.
It’s better to have loved and lost and all that

Go well Dom, couldn't have asked for more from you. Now go smash up the Championship, get your next big move and earn Orient some more dough

Re: Ballard OFFicially gone
Gutted we only got one season of Dom.
Forever an Os legend for single-handedly saving the club last season.
Hope to see him in the Prem one day.

“The question we have asked ourselves all summer and before that is ‘if we lose Dom, how do we move forward from it?’"
More bull from Gandler. The question was: "When we lose Dom, what do we do?" Anyone who thought all that "we don't need to sell" stuff was anything but a negotiating position is deluded, I'm afraid.

I’m glad that people are slowly staring to realise that this Gandler bloke is a snake oil salesman.SpiceAlbert wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2026 9:16 pm “The question we have asked ourselves all summer and before that is ‘if we lose Dom, how do we move forward from it?’"

Absolutely mental that people genuinely entertained all this guff about building a 30,000 seater Thunderdome when we’re about to start the season with precisely 0 strikers at the club….

Re: Ballard OFFicially gone
The way I’m feeling at the moment I make you right . We’re still very much “little Leyton Orient “ selling our best players. Instead of building a team around them to get promotion. If we don’t have a new striker in situation by Saturday I’d start to ask questions about the club’s transfer policy and ambitionsThe Reverend wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2026 9:32 pmI’m glad that people are slowly staring to realise that this Gandler bloke is a snake oil salesman.SpiceAlbert wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2026 9:16 pm “The question we have asked ourselves all summer and before that is ‘if we lose Dom, how do we move forward from it?’"

No, I'm not an idiot. Of course I don't believe everyone swallows it. But there are some who do - the proof's on here.soloman wrote: Tue Aug 04, 2026 9:52 pmAre you an idiot or something . It was the weeks of “will he / won’t he” charade and acting like we might not need to sign a replacement when obviously we would need to.
A properly ambitious club would have got this deal done early doors and bought a replacement in sharpish. Instead we now have just over a week before our first league game with no strikers at the club.
