Demetri Mitchell
What do we make of him? Thought he was dreadful last year - on par with Bakinson so thought he would be transfer listed. Doesn’t seem to have the skill to play on the wing, nor does he have the defensive ability to play left back, but Richie seems to rate him enough to include him in plans for next year

Re: Demetri Mitchell
I like him.
It didn't help him being played in multiple positions, but he's fast, skilful and puts in a shift. He did as well as anyone else at left back early in the season.
He showed improvement and growing confidence later in the season when he started more regularly on the right wing.
The main issue is that he's very lightweight, so gets bundled off the ball easily.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
He's an average league 1 player. Good attitude, had some games where he was able to stretch the opposition with his pace and willingness to run at them, but his technique is poor so struggles to receive the ball with his back to goal or in tight situations. A squad player only and presumably third choice now behind Theo and this Norwich kid.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
Demi was pretty awful for the first 80% of the season, but the last 7 or 8 games he improved immensely.
We had no pace in the side last year, except for Demi.
I'm not expecting him to be a regular, but he's decent enough to play a part in our season

Re: Demetri Mitchell
He's quick. Runs around a lot. He tries. That's about it.
Final ball usually poor, very one-footed, never takes on his man, can't cross, can't shoot, can't defend, gets pushed off the ball far too easy, appalling fitness/injury record.
Despite all that, as I've mentioned previously, I think Richie sees him as a bit of a 'project', tapping into his strong bias for ex-Man Utd youth team cast-offs.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
Awful in defence. Bang average in attack. Had an entire season to cement a spot in the start XI and failed. A bench option at best.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
Part timer, on par with Bakinson as said above.
Certainly wouldn’t class him as a trier, we only saw him put in a shift in the last 5 games or so, rest of the season was a waste of a wage.

When Richie talked about it he wingers in the interview yesterday, he didn’t mention Demi at all.
I don’t think he features in our plans.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
It was obvious he had an unprofessional attitude the day he signed.
Early season he looked like a dangerous player.
But he hasn't done anything significant for us.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
LSN - I don't think Wellens sees him as unprofessional, really. He's cheap, does as he's told and doesn't sulk about being out of the team or being played away from his favourite position.

Bad signing
Exeter fans were delighted when he left
Seems a nice guy but a L1 footballer? No.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
Is this about his social media game or his football? If he could flood the zone on the pitch like he does with his endless inane posting then he might at least cause the opposition some problems.

I know a number of Exeter fans and live 10 miles from their ground.
‘Most were gutted’
You’re having a laugh. Guy was a sick note at Exeter and fans were quite happy when he didn’t re-sign for them.
You’re info is way off.

Was buzzing when he signed. Thought he was our Agyei replacement. Been really disappointed but believe in him yet.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
Feel we've not seen the best of him, sure Richie said at one point that Demetri came into his office and said he wasn't playing as well as he wants to - respect for that.
Bench at best for me based on what I have seen.

Re: Demetri Mitchell
He's a bit of a utility player I guess which helps him.
Not first choice for us anywhere, but useful to have on the bench to fill in as a wing back or winger and the Tinpot Trophy.
