Not TV, but the Grimwood books are the best kids book series by a long way, not that there is huge competition.

The Wicker Man (1970something) - thought the copper was quite rude and intolerant, literally shouting at the locals with a megaphone as soon as he arrived, so got what he deserved. 7/10

The trailer for the new one looks great.

Traitors- not a fan of that move at all, if it were me I'd be happy to stay a two and murder, murder, murder. Pick off the clever ones.

This is the first season I've watched. How many times can the Traitors replenish themselves?

I think they get the choice everytime one gets banished and if they are down to 1, then they have to recruit.

Completely agree. Both the remaining two were good traitors and flying under everyone's radars. It was a stupid decision to recruit Hannah "I'm so smart" Fry, so rolling the dice with Kenny is a risk they did not need to take.

Plus, I think there's quite a bit of chemistry between Kenny and the wide-eyed unhinged Irish woman. I've noticed that she seems to take every opportunity to be as near to him as possible.

Recruitment seems much more prevalent as the seasons go on and I think it diminishes the actual game itself. Agree would be better to see them trying to hunt just 2 for a bit.

Happened again. She made sure she was in the car next to him on the way to their mission. The traitors should make Kenny kill her, just to prove his commitment to the cause.

This looks really interesting and I love Nathan Fielder, his work is usually mind blowing but comedic. Been getting rave reviews.

In preparation for this I watched The Dropout(disney+), the dramatisation series of this woman- elizabeth holmes and her company theranos which conned hundreds of millions from investors by making false promises about a new blood testing device. Satisfied my curiosity of fraudsters. Really keen to see the real woman in the above doc.

I read a book about her a few years back. She's clearly a psychopath.

Amanda Seyfied was utterly mesmerising in The Dropout.

I've not seen much footage of the real Holmes but found the performance quite creepy. There's a hbo doc about it from some years back i need to watch called The Inventor.

Just watched Aberfan: A Village Fights Back on BBC iplayer. Some incredible stuff I hadn't previously been aware of. Although, just a nipper myself when it happened, I remember my mum being very upset. No doubt every mum in Britain with young kids was thinking: There but for the grace etc. So, what the Charities Commission decided to do is almost beyond belief. Donations to a disaster relief fund had been pouring in to help bereaved families, some who had lost not just their children, but their homes as well. The head of the Commission decided that before they gave families any money from the fund, they should establish if the parents had been particularly close to their children and if they had genuinely been affected in any way by their loss. Words fail.

Watched Slow Horses the other night. Got a bit bored with it. The format has run its course.

Agreed. Have you watched Dept Q? It's the Netflix version, but features angry, swearing Scotch.

Yes I have viewed that particular broadcast and enjoyed it. But wasn't the Lead Swearers role played by a sassanach?

Yes, but nowadays the telly programmes must have diversity in their casting.

I’d say there’s a high chance he’s a fair way along the autistic spectrum and struggles with lying.

But you just lay into the neurodivergents again. 😡

It was disappointing. The traitors made a succession of poor decisions when resulted in the goodies winning.

Didn't enjoy this one as much as previous series. Maybe the format's run its course.

People are so much better at backing up their theories, than they are at coming up with the theories in the first place.

Also prefer it when the tasks are a bigger part of the show.
