Does anyone here seriously think we can beat Stevenage Saturday , deluded if you do , we need to recognise the problem now not late in the season , the constant passing around at the back getting absolutely nowhere, we need change and now

In the words of Clarkson "oh dear... never mind"
I only hope that was a case of the players showing the same level of disinterest to the competition as most fans have

Re: Leyton Orient v Arsenal u-21's
OK. Firstly congratulations to Arsenal's kids. You stuck to your task, your keeper had little to do and you deserved your victory.
WTF has happened to Orient? A few years back I remember T and T explaining the policy of recruiting players capable of playing in a higher tier because that was the ambition of the club.
Since then , we've dispensed of the services of Martin Ling, because everyone knew he was completely useless.
Got a new director of football who's recruitment was so fantastic everyone on the Orient forums came together hailing him as the new messiah.
Goosey was clearly reinvesting, and Wellens perfectly understood his position in delivering improvements.
But hang on a minute, I'm being really generous here, Ahkamrich, is the only player that looks like he could play a tier higher, and he's only on loan, and we look like we are going to be pumped every week, especially if we're playing at home.

28 shots 10 on target . Our forward line woefully bad.Springett has not enough pace to go pass a player. Theo was dire tonight he should not start in the first team Scarlett did nothing . Dogba shooting was awful. Another goalie mistake. They had only 6 shots on target yet should have scored more. Our defence once again pitiful at times. No positives tonight I firmly believe RW has lost the plot with the plan A which is so easy to play against. Stevenage will have a field day on Saturday

The club has become a fekking shambles once again. Now time to clear out the management and the hangers on. Give the job to Pratley, because if this carries on people will begin to drift away.

We lost but at least the silver lining is we gave loads of our fringe players and a youngsters a run out and didn’t tire any of the first team out before Saturday…

Even worse then you consider that incudes the 3 months we didn't have a game. Inexcusable.

No , I would have predicted a loss on Saturday even if we had beaten Wycombe last week . I feel this is a nailed on defeat .KingLes wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 9:06 pm Does anyone here seriously think we can beat Stevenage Saturday , deluded if you do , we need to recognise the problem now not late in the season , the constant passing around at the back getting absolutely nowhere, we need change and now
No excuses this season because we have a better squad than last season. There now needs to be improvement and sharpish

We lost in a Competition most fans only care about if you get to the semi finals. Doesn't mean much until then

The tactics tonight were piss poor badly managed sorry what's the point playing droba upfront when we have a forward on the bench so what does Paul do take off one forward to bring on another we have lost our way we need a win away to Barnet now can't see it

With Mr.Gandler in the UK, I wonder if he'll be watching the game at the weekend? I agree that a win on Saturday might be a long shot, but if we lose and also play badly again then Richie may well be getting his cards.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 9:58 pmThere now needs to be improvement and sharpishKingLes wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 9:06 pm Does anyone here seriously think we can beat Stevenage Saturday , deluded if you do , we need to recognise the problem now not late in the season , the constant passing around at the back getting absolutely nowhere, we need change and now

Re: Leyton Orient v Arsenal u-21's
Shambles tonight.
Given defence has been so poor this season surly they need to play together and get so why take all central defenders off and end up with three of the back four playing out of position.
He really has lost the plot.

This is a new squad of players which is supposed to be better than last season . As highly as I rate Richie , lose on Saturday and I think the screws will start to turn on him in earnest .faith1234 wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 10:07 pm Is we get beaten badly on Saturday how long do you think Richie has left shame tho but do think that he has run out of ideaswe need to play 442 or 3412 play 2 upfront

Re: Leyton Orient v Arsenal u-21's
Sadly agree. I know we've historically been fairly slow starters, but we're seeing same old tactical/selection/substitution mistakes, same old patterns of play, same old mistakes and Richie is now the only constant factor.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2026 11:39 pmThis is a new squad of players which is supposed to be better than last season .
