Oyekunie had a good game, that’s it!
Too many changes tonight and side never looked settled
No fluidity to game, we never got started and it got worse when we made changes.
Very disappointing, so early in season, why didn’t we play strong 11 continue the momentum from last 2 games instead of playing a lob sided weaker team?

Eye opening that

Bradford were different class to us.

Better in every department. It could have been 6, if they hadn't wasted chance after chance.

Helped by poor defending

We are no more than a mid/lower mid team

Disappointing

Think the result will cloud the actual performance which was good first half, we were better and first 10 mins of the second we were excellent and unlucky not to be leading. Fell apart after that but that el miz one bounces in off the bar we probably win comfortably

The decision not to go strong will only look good if we get three points on Saturday, if we don't it's poo poo.

I agree, and Morris could/should have made it 2-0 in the first half.

Subs were suspect tho. Springett did nothing all game and played 90mins. Clare was on the pitch but we played 3 different players at right back out of position.
Their subs made them better and ours made us worse.
Oh well, it’s done. 3 points on Saturday is all that matters

I dont get how we expect to control/ win a game with 1 recognised CH
How can you take off Forrester Chinedu and Hayden and expect to survive. Every time they had a corner we could not handle it.We played some good football in the 1st 10 minutes of the second half then they score and completely turn the tide. RW should have subbed Theo and the young C/F at half time. Why did he wait for 60 mins. RW lost us this game . He has 32 players to choose from and more interested in giving all players the minutes they require. You don’t change winning teams unless you need too. Soon we will get back to not having Tuesday fixtures.

Its almost like we were playing 1 1 8 in the 2nd half.

If they won the ball because we were fiddling around with short passes & not being able to control our legs & the ball meant they just had to put in our half.

Some of this minutes stuff bugs me.

Springett was woeful tonight ( no service)
But he didnt go looking for the ball either
At least Theo did .

Richie needs to land on a Formation & stick to it

Morris getting roasted v Banrsley is gone
Stop playing 5 at the back with wing backs &
then changing them all 65 minutes in

Weird game all round. Some energy and oomph first half, but their equaliser was on the cards and it was a rotten time to concede it.

Second half was, well, you tell me. You're right, though - pick a formation and play it, tweaking it if necessary.

Bradford deserved their win, watch 'em get a banging draw in the next round. Grrr.

If the game starts going tits up I think Wellens starts to panic and throws the player nearest to him on.
And Moonwalk 19 got it dead right.

True, but Richie himself said we need to progress as 'we need the money', didn't he? And a nice draw - home or away - against a big club would've been very nice indeed for fans.

A Big Club would have embarresed us ,
Richie said it takes a couple of months for my teams
to play how I want them to play.

I don't disagree, but the money would have been nice, and so would the occasion.

On the other hand, the City game a couple of seasons ago didn't embarrass us, so who knows?

Exactly
That was an FA Cup match & even DJ & Perkins understood how Richie wanted us to play by then

Difference in the second half was every time they played to the edge of our box they looked like scoring....every time we did, we never looked like scoring in a month of Sundays.

Well I thought we played well till their 2nd goal . Could easily have led 2nil then probably game over .
Suprised no mention of Sean . Thought he was excellent in the centre .

He made some nice passes in the first half particularly. Glad he's managed to work his way back.
