Might as well play big Phil there as that must be crushing for Morris to hear that.

It’s proper mental stuff. The kid hasn’t played a single league fixture for us yet but apparently he’s the magic missing piece that’ll turn this squad of underperformers, duffers and sicknotes into league contenders. Is bizarre levels of delusion.Orientnil wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 10:58 am What's all this "just wait for Boniface" stuff. I remember this young fella doing great stuff for us attacking down the left wing. I also remember him struggling in defence at times and making the odd mistake. He's not the Messiah you know.

Re: Richie post-Burton with Dave Victor
Richie is a big scholar of the game. He loves talking about the premier league and how they play. He seems to always be looking for the piece of the jigsaw that will suddenly see us playing like prime Barcelona. It’s never going to happen and that will be his downfall. He needs to work with what we have got.The Reverend wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 3:29 pmIt’s proper mental stuff. Wrong el miz made a feeble attempt at a tackle and was running at the speed of a cart horse!
Take the blinkers off and look at the wider picture.
You’re obsessed .

Re: Richie post-Burton with Dave Victor
For me, his problem is more than that. He's supposed to be our senior pro setting a leadership example. I don't see him doing that - certainly in the way that Darren Pratley did. Between him and the forwards we have lost the art of the press IMO. It renders much of what El Miz in particular does impotent.Hoover Attack wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 12:56 pmHe played right CB in a 3 in one of the home midweek games and was repeatedly beaten in foot races down the channels as you’d expect. FWIW I'd make him play centre back if we were short of numbers. He'd be decent at it but there would be times when he'd have to sprint there!
I’ve still no problem with him defensively as our 6. My only concern is in possession and he doesn’t show enough.

He did actually play for an hour or so against Sheffield Wednesday in the opening league game and looked ok tbf but I agree with your point about the wishful thinking. The Reverend wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 3:29 pmIt’s proper mental stuff. Pratley was old but didn't have a long track record of injuries so lost less physically. You can't really lead by example if you can't move around the pitch.LittleMate wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 7:37 pmFor me, his problem is more than that. Didn't realise Theo was injured. Wonder why 3 out of our 5 loanees are injured and one just returned from injury. Too fragile for adult football? Only Akramrich injury free, so far.

Only saw the goal once on highlights but Idris misplaces a pass, but it’s 40 yards from goal. Who was supposed to be marking the player who scored?PT78 wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 5:20 pmNope Idris didHoover Attack wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 5:18 pmWrong.PT78 wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 4:07 pm
