When has Richie ever *chosen* to keep his gob shut?Hoover Attack wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 8:41 amIf Richie was peed off with Nigel and Goosey, why would he go quiet on the fans? I'm not sure that makes sense. He'd be wanting to rally us up behind him.E10quence wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 8:13 am
The fact that both Nigel and Gandler are in town at the same time Richie has gone AWOL is not a coincidence.
It's much more likely he's peed off with the supporters - whether that's the booing at home at end of half/full time, the alleged incident with some fans after the Wycombe home game, or the online stuff his mum has seen. Or a combination of the lot.

Makes you wonder if Wellens was actually playing 4D chess with that rant - knowing that it’ll make him popular amongst the “say it like it is” crowd regardless of his actual record from last season…Father Ted Crilly wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2026 12:47 pmTo be fair, they all seem united in their hate for Russell Martin. Have been working in Leicester for a few months now with quite a few City fans and quite a lot of them wanted Wellens over Martin and would take him tomorrow although I suspect that's more to do with how it's working out with Martin right now.
Obviously, that's not a representation of their entire fan-base though.

It would be good if RW would give an update video on the latest news, squad situation, fitness to key players, who's training, who's still injured, CMON RW where are you

Surely the news coming out from Man City must have cooled his mood somewhat?Stan1972 wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2026 9:54 am It would be good if RW would give an update video on the latest news, squad situation, fitness to key players, who's training, who's still injured, CMON RW where are you![]()
We'll know whether things have thawed or not depending on whether he gives the pre match interview tomorrow or if PT is wheeled out in his place...

Do we need to start a Richie to city thread once their relegation to l2 is confirmed?Hoover Attack wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2026 10:16 amSurely the news coming out from Man City must have cooled his mood somewhat?Stan1972 wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2026 9:54 am It would be good if RW would give an update video on the latest news, squad situation, fitness to key players, who's training, who's still injured, CMON RW where are you![]()

'Just an idle thought but RW is clearly an earnest young man with a very tight spring. Could it be that he asked for /was offered / was instructed to ease up a bit before the "must win" Stevo game and, as I've suggested before, sit out a couple of weeks on the beach at Skeggie. 'Hope it's something like that and that he'll soon be back in front of the camera, sporting his Orient ski hat, abusing Dulcet and scratching his neck.

Re: Wheres Richie
I saw him in spoons at Romford last Sunday. He was having a vegetarian breakfast , but oddly with a side of meaty bacon and pork sausages. The server said, "Why not just order the usual full English". He replied " My way is always best" Then he went on to ask him if he was any good in goal?
