Where's Clare?
With our CM being so poor today it got me wondering what's happened to Sean Clare, no sign of him in the squad since the international break. Not mentioned as injured but then the club doesn't like to tell us these things. Could've done with him second half today...

Another one that has been done over to give certain other individuals more game time…

Re: Where's Clare?
If he is injured, I don't understand what is to be gained by club not providing regular updates on this kind of thing. If it weren't for Dave Victor, we'd have no idea who is fit/isn't most of the time.gshaw wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 12:15 am With our CM being so poor today it got me wondering what's happened to Sean Clare, no sign of him in the squad since the international break. We don’t seem to get injury updates anymore
We didn’t know Theo was injured till DD asked
Clare is another, don’t remember reading that one

Re: Where's Clare?
I think the lack of injury update and information shows an apathy towards the fans. As you say if it wasn't for Dave Victor asking the question (which I think sometimes annoys Wellens) we would have no idea.PKM wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 9:47 am We don’t seem to get injury updates anymore

Re: Where's Clare?
I’ve stopped listening to the club interviews with RW now, they are a complete waste of time.
I mean DD is hardly a searching interviewer, but at least he does ask some pertinent questions.

There was a time when an ETA back to fitness was provided by the physio in the programme/website.oriboy wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 9:52 amI think the lack of injury update and information shows an apathy towards the fans. Save this for the next Q&A, let's see if they actually answer or blank a difficult question as usualoriboy wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 9:52 amI think the lack of injury update and information shows an apathy towards the fans. Re: Where's Clare?
It’s scandalous that he hasn’t been involved after some decent performances on his return to the squad earlier this season.
You could kind of understand the excuse for him being left out when either Hayden or Iddy or Gilbert were on the bench. But yesterday when all 3 started, knowing Hayden would have to come off after 60 mins or so, he had to be on the bench. There was no one else to replace them.
There was the same situation with the strikers. Starting both was stupid with no sub to replace them.
I know WJ1 was brought here as a CM but I don’t think even Richie is daft enough to play him in there, in case someone suggests that.

According to Richie, every single player (apart from 1) is either injured, recovering from injury, in need of a rest, coming back to full fitness, fat, in need of a preseason or cack

Re: Where's Clare?
Thankfully nowhere near the team.
Needs moving on pronto. A handful of good games since joining. Very limited, can’t pass, can’t defend and bad awareness.
League 2 or National League unless his agent gets him a deal. Someone lower end L1 might take a punt based on club history.

Isn't that the country he played for recently?
Perhaps he asked for political asylum

Re: Where's Clare?
l understand to get sharp the need to play in matches but how long does it take to be fit? Scarlett and Gilbert have been with us ten weeks. If I took a holiday from my weight training it did not take long to return to normal and I am not a professional athlete who trains four hours a day. Someone with experience enlighten me.Token wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 12:38 pm According to Richie, every single player (apart from 1) is either injured, recovering from injury, in need of a rest, coming back to full fitness, fat, in need of a preseason or cack

They've been with us 10 weeks combined. They haven't been here 10 weeks each.WilliamTell wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 1:07 pml understand to get sharp the need to play in matches but how long does it take to be fit? They don't train four hours a day, every day of the week. That's kind of the issue. Once pre-season is done, players are up to speed and basically just keep things ticking over, the game (or 2) per week is all they need for fitness. For those that miss that or aren't playing regularly, it's trickier.
Scarlett had never played a full 90 minutes before the other week, apparently. He's got a lot to learn before he's playin week in week out, whatever your spurs mates are telling you.
Mitchell is already at it. Not sure why he's been dragged into this?
