Greg Docherty

Post by GordonRiddickulous »

We are so lacking a midfield general I wondered if the out of contract Greg Docherty might be of help to us?
Charlton let him go 2 days after the window shut.
He was captain with bags of experience.
We could do worse.

His wiki is impressive and Charlton loved him.
Maybe Richie will do his research on him for once

Doesn’t look like it, so a non-starter for us
We need one ACL injury as absolute minimum

Scottish midfielder Greg Docherty has a relatively clean injury record with a few notable spells on the sidelines.

That's a decent shout but as always is it within our budget plus he would need time to get match fit

We need (defensive) midfield reinforcement - ideally someone who can cover the ground, rather than just sit (Hayden).

I suspect we'll need to offload a few before we're able to bring anyone else in in January, even on a free.

NL can still take players.
Maybe loan out Cahill or Wellens bros and get in Docherty.

That seems mean of Charlton.
Probably they think he can't hack the champ.
Or they think he'll easy get fixed up with another club which seems the likelier.

Yeah probably mutual some time before.
Hope we get this fella.
He knows Gilbert as they were Charltons midfield in the play off final against us.

Why not if he's still a good player . It's clear our midfield needs strengthening .
